Pilgrim Nut

Even tho this picture is labeled "New Boss Nut," it isn't. This photo shows the hydraulic "Pilgrim" Nut shown being prepared for lowering to the worksite. This piece iof equipment is actually 2 halves with a rubber hydraulic bladder inside. The Pilgrim Nut is turned onto the shaft threads and tightened against the Backing Plate. When pressure is applied to the hydraulic lines, the Pilgrim Nut expands and forces the screw off of the shaft. WebMaster Bruce
